The Uganda Forex Bureau and Money Remittance Association is an umbrella association of all Forex Bureaux and Money Transfer Operators in Uganda. The Association is a non profit, non governmental organization that was registered in Uganda as a company limited by guarantee in 2000.

The Uganda Forex Bureau Association now Uganda Forex Bureau and Money Remittance Association was inaugurated on January 27th, 2001 by the Governor Bank of Uganda. The Bank of Uganda Policy on licensing Forex Bureaus requires that operators must be fully paid up members of the Uganda Forex Bureau and Money Remittance Association.

MISSION

UFBMRA exists in order to: To articulate the interests and concerns of member forex bureaux, to strive to promote and enhance the practices of forex dealing and money transfers, to promote ethical and responsible practice, to promote communication and exchange among members, to encourage members to adhere to and comply with laid-down Foreign Exchange Regulations and to provide leadership and advocacy for the forex bureau industry.

We aspire to be the recognised contributor to and leader in putting in place a sound and thriving forex business sector that is supported by the Central Bank and other policy makers through effective representation and advocacy
